“Hey, Come Back!” – Cart abandonment, product-specific coupons and more in latest release
August 21, 2018One of the most common problems with e-commerce stores is cart abandonment – customers abandon (leave unpurchased) their shopping carts all the time, in staggering numbers. They do this for a variety of reasons; sometimes they change their mind, but often they just get distracted or move on without finishing a purchase. You’ve never gotten distracted while shopping online, have you? Look, squirrel!
That’s why we just added Cart Abandonment Emails to our suite of Loyalty Marketing tools in your storeBlox CS company store. You can now trigger an automated email to users that abandon their carts, reminding them to purchase the items in their cart.
Like all storeBlox CS emails, the template is fully customizable and can be personalized with user variables. The reminder includes the products that they have in their cart, along with a link back to the site to complete the purchase:
Abandoned cart reminders can be quite effective in company stores, since most abandonment falls into the “I forgot” category (rather than the “I found it cheaper somewhere else” or “I just don’t want it” categories). This feature is available in our latest release and is in your store now. If you need help setting it up or would like a walkthrough, just give us a shout!
Product-specific Coupons
Check this one off your wishlist: storeBlox CS now has product-specific coupons! Ever want to send a coupon code out that a customer could only use for a specific product? You’re not alone; this has been on our customer request list for a while. It’s now available in your store – just designate a coupon as “Product Specific” then apply the coupon to the product you’d like it to apply to:
That’s it! Product-specific coupons work like any other coupon; they can be for dollar or percentage values, have expiration dates, usage restrictions and so on. Product-specific coupons are available in your store today. We recommend trying one of these out in your next email blast – they can be a great motivator for users to come back to your store.
Checking Gift Certificate Balances
One more oft-requested feature was also added in our latest release: quick checking of gift card balances. This does exactly what it sounds like – your customer enters a gift code and the store shows them the remaining balance. We’d like to make it sound sexier, but unfortunately it won’t shine your shoes or fold your laundry. We hope you enjoy it regardless. It’s available right now.
New Video Training Center
February 12, 2018Just a quick note: We’ve upgraded our Video Training Center and it’s pretty nifty! All our videos are now hosted through YouTube so you can view them on any device. We’ve also added new searching and filtering features so you can find the topic you want quickly.
The new video center also includes an index if you prefer to view your videos in a big list. Check it out the next time you need to brush up on your company store skills!
New Company Store Features – Winter 2016
December 1, 2016storeBlox CS has had nifty group management features for your company store for quite some time, allowing you to manage group access to things like product categories and budgets, or to automate registrations. It’s also got powerful approval controls, enabling you to fine-tune who gets to buy what and when a higher-up needs to review the purchase.
Put those two together and – boom! – you’ve got the chocolate-and-peanut-butter of company store purchasing management (yes, we really said that): Group Approvers! Group Approvers are approvers that you assign to a (wait for it) group.
Since you can already manage approvers at the user level, Group Approvers allow you to control approval at a higher level and reassign approvers to large numbers of users when someone leaves or changes roles. Available now for all customers.
New Editor
We felt that our WYSIWYG editor (the little menubar that lets you format text for your products, landing pages and other site content) was getting a little long in the tooth, so like a good dentist we ripped it out and replaced it with a brand new one:
In addition to just working better, the new editor includes support for full-screen editing, easier source code editing (for you HTML wizards) and more formatting options. It’s in your dashboard now. Check it out!
Date Modified Sorting
Put this in the “a customer beat us over the head until we finally added it” category: You can now sort products by date modified!
This is a useful way to sort products you are updating to find what you most recently worked on. Combined with the fabulous View History feature on the Product Edit page, it’s also a great auditing tool to see what’s going on if things don’t seem right with your products.
All these features are in your store, right now! Need help or a tutorial? Give us a shout or sign up for a helpful storeBlox CS webinar today!
